Pastor Brandon Cunningham
Brandon Cunningham has joined the pastoral staff at Grace Community Church in an effort to assist Jess in building the foundation for a church that impacts Flour Bluff in way never seen before. Brandon is married to Renee’ and they have 5 children together; Nick 20, Jacob 20, Avery 17, Matthew 17 and Maddy who is 13. They are a blended family so don’t worry they didn't have 2 sets of twins. They do share two beautiful miniature schnauzers named Reagan and Tator. Brandon and Renee’ have lived in Flour Bluff for over 8 years. Renee’ and their two oldest sons graduated from Flour Bluff schools and their family is committed to the community in many ways.
Brandon was born in Paris Texas and moved to Corpus Christi twenty years ago to finish his degree at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. After graduation he worked in finance with Merrill Lynch and government contracting with the Department of Homeland Security. He created the men’s ministry at Bay Area Fellowship which he oversaw as a lay leader for 5 years. In 2010 Brandon was asked to be a Campus Pastor and start the inner city campus of Bay Area Fellowship in the West side of Corpus Christi where he over saw hundreds of volunteers and members until 2012 when he returned to the business world. He currently is the Project Manager for Navy Army Community Credit Union where he oversees the building of new branches and systems.
Brandon has a passion for small groups and raising leaders to reach the lost. This passion will be used to transform our church into one that reaches different ages, incomes and cultures. In his spare time he enjoys kayaking, travel and reading. There is currently a movement to get him back on the golf course and see if the rumors are true he was a pretty good golfer many years ago. On a side note he does enjoy long motorcycle rides on his brand new Harley. Although this Harley only exists in his mind, he hopes someday his bride lets him actually purchase one in real life.
We are an independent, autonomous church, however, we are part of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and we support the missions of Pioneer Bible Translators (Africa), the Southern Baptist Convention and the Corpus Christ Baptist Association. We also support the local ministries of Church without Walls and Timons Ministries.
